Servings
  • For the waffles:

  • 6 pinches
    Sweet Allrounder
The secret ingredient for all desserts £3.99 £61.38/kg incl. 0% tax, excl. shipping
  • 120 g
    softened butter
  • 100 g
    sugar
  • 3
    eggs
  • 240 g
    plain flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 200 ml
    milk
  • For the toppings:

  • 3 tsp
    chocolate sauce
  • 40 g
    icing sugar
  • 1
    pomegranate, seeds
  • grated chocolate

1
Beat the butter and sugar with the Sweet Allrounder in a large mixing bowl.

2
Beat in the eggs, one at a time.

3
Sieve the flour and baking powder in a second bowl and mix. Gradually add to the butter and eggs. Pour in the milk a little at a time.

4
Preheat the waffle iron. Add 2–3 spoonfuls of batter into the waffle iron and cook for 1–2 minutes until golden brown.

5
Stack the warm waffles on a plate and garnish with the toppings. We love chocolate sauce and pomegranate seeds, but feel free to use maple syrup, fresh fruit or just icing sugar.

Tip: For perfect breakfast waffles, you can make the batter the night before and leave in the fridge until the next morning.

Waffles

Waffles are a perfect breakfast treat or after-school snack for the kiddos. Whip up a batch of fluffy, crispy waffles and watch their little faces light up! Use whichever waffle maker you have and fill it about 3/4 full – the waffles rise beautifully. Finish your waffles with your favourite toppings – may we suggest a sprinkle of Oatmeal Spice or Coffee Kiss alongside the icing sugar?
