  • For the chicken:

  • 1 tbsp
    JS Tikka Masala
  • 600 g
    chicken breast (or tofu/paneer)
  • 250 g
    natural yoghurt
  • For the sauce:

  • 1 tbsp
    JS Tikka Masala
  • 2
    onions
  • 2 tbsp
    butter or ghee
  • 3 tbsp
    tomato paste
  • 1 tin
    chopped tomatoes (400 g)
  • 300 ml
    coconut milk
  • Serve with:

  • 250 g
    basmati rice
  • 4
    naan bread

Roughly dice the chicken (or tofu/paneer), place in a bowl and season with the plain yoghurt and Tikka Masala seasoning. Place in the fridge to marinate for 60 minutes.

Peel, halve and finely dice the onions. Heat the butter in a saucepan and brown the chicken over a medium heat for 5 minutes. Add the onions, Tikka Masala seasoning and tomato paste and fry for another 2 minutes. Add the tomatoes and coconut milk and bring just to the boil. Lower the heat and simmer on a low heat for 20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.

Prepare the basmati rice according to the instructions on the packet and serve alongside the chicken tikka masala and naan bread.


Tip: Using tofu or paneer in place of the chicken will give you a wonderful vegetarian tikka masala!
