    red pepper
  • 2 cloves
    garlic
  • 1 piece
    ginger, thumb-sized
  • 2 tbsp
    sesame oil
  • 3 tbsp
    soy sauce
  • salt, pepper
  • 2
    spring onions

Cook the noodles according to the packet instructions, drain, rinse with cold water and set aside.

Peel the carrots and onion and slice thinly. Wash the peppers and cut into thin sticks. Peel and finely chop the garlic. Scrub and finely grate the ginger.

Heat the sesame oil in a pan over a medium heat and sauté the onions and garlic for about 2 minutes.

Add the carrots and peppers and fry for 5–7 minutes.

Add the noodles to the pan. Add the soy sauce, ginger, Garlic Pepper and Chinese 5-spice and mix well.

Fry the noodles for a further 5 minutes.

Slice the spring onions into thin rings on the diagonal.

Top the fried noodles with the spring onions and some crispy chilli oil and serve hot.
