Chilli con carne

Our recipe for chilli con carne contains two ingredients you might be surprised about: coffee and chocolate! No, you cant taste either of them, dont worry! The coffee adds an earthy richness to the chilli, harmonising well with the cumin and paprika found in our Chilli con Carne Seasoning. In a pinch, you could use a splash or two of freshly brewed strong coffee. Meanwhile, the chocolate offsets some of the acidity found in the tomatoes, offering a depth of flavour that a simple sprinkle of sugar would lack.

Chilli side dishes

Now youve got your batch of chilli (or perhaps youve gone for our vegan chilli recipe), you have to choose what to serve it with. Our fave has to be rice – read up on rice-cooking hacks here. Sour cream and crusty bread are delicious too, as is a generous amount of Cheddar cheese! Or perhaps youd prefer sliced avo and crunchy Avocado Topping? Let us know what you serve your chilli with!
