  • For the sauce:

  • 40 g
    butter
  • 50 g
    plain flour
  • 200 g
    cream
  • 400 ml
    beef stock
  • 2 tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 1 pinch
    salt, pepper

Peel and finely chop the onions. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large frying pan, sauté the onions over a gentle heat for two minutes until translucent, remove and set aside.

Put the minced beef in a bowl and thoroughly knead in breadcrumbs, egg, cream, mustard and the Ground Meat Seasoning. Form into small balls.

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a frying pan and fry the meatballs on each side over a high heat for 5 minutes or until they are brown. Remove from pan.

For the sauce, melt the butter in the same pan, stir in the flour and cook until the roux becomes brown.

Add the cream and beef stock, bring to the boil, and simmer over a low heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Season with soy sauce and a pinch of salt and pepper. Add the meatballs to the sauce and cook over a medium heat for 5 minutes.

Serve the meatballs with mashed potatoes and cranberries, as desired.


Tip: Add 100 ml of white wine to the sauce during cooking for a deeper flavour.
