  • For the French toast:

  • 3 tsp
    Sweet Allrounder
The secret ingredient for all desserts £4.99 £76.77/kg incl. 0% tax, excl. shipping
  • 4 slices
    white bread
  • 250 ml
    milk
  • 1
    egg
  • 2 tbsp
    butter
  • 2 tbsp
    sugar
  • For the fruity sauce:

  • 1 jar
    sour cherries
  • 250 g
    blackberries
  • 1 tbsp
    cornflour

1
Place the slices of white bread in a baking dish. Beat the milk and egg together, pour the mixture over the bread and leave for 10 minutes. Turn the slices at least once to make sure they are really saturated.

2
Meanwhile, drain and collect the cherry juice from the jar. Pour 250 ml of the cherry juice into a saucepan and bring to the boil gently. Mix the cornflour with 4 tbsp water, add to the cherry juice and stir well until it thickens slightly. Simmer for 2 minutes, then reduce the heat. Add 1 tsp Sweet Allrounder, the cherries and the blackberries.

3
Melt the butter in a pan. Let the excess egg drip off the bread briefly, then fry on each side for about 3 minutes over a medium heat until golden brown.

4
Mix the remaining 2 tsp Sweet Allrounder and the sugar in a deep dish and turn the fried bread slices in it until sugary on all sides.

5
Serve the French toast with the berry sauce and an extra sprinkle of Sweet Allrounder, and demolish immediately.
