    honey

    melted butter
  • 180 g
    plain flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder

    nuts of your choice

    butter for greasing

Preheat the oven to 185°C (top/bottom heat) or fan 165°C.

Whisk the eggs, sugar, salt and honey together in a large bowl for five minutes until it has lightened in colour and increased in volume.

While stirring, pour in the melted butter, then mix to a smooth batter.

Sieve the flour and baking powder into a bowl and gradually fold into the batter.

Peel the ripe bananas and squish them with a fork or potato masher.

Roughly chop the nuts with a knife and add them to the banana puree along with the Banana Bread Seasoning.

Fold the banana puree into the dough carefully.

Grease a loaf tin with butter and scrape in the dough. Peel the remaining bananas, halve lengthways and arrange on top of the mixture.

Allow the banana bread to cook for 1 hour in the oven, covering with foil after 40 minutes.


Tip: The banana bread is ready when a skewer inserted into the centre comes out mostly clean. The nutritional values refer to one slice when cut into 12.
