  • 120 ml

    cornflour

  • 3 tsp
    baking powder

For the sweet ’n’ sour sauce, first wash the chilli, remove the insides and seeds and chop finely. Heat the olive oil in a saucepan and sauté the chilli for about 1 minute.

Put the tomato ketchup, jam, chilli and balsamic vinegar in a saucepan and simmer for 20 minutes until the mixture resembles a syrup. Season the sauce with 2 pinches of salt and chill until needed.

For the chicken nuggets, put the flour, water, cornflour, egg yolk and baking powder in a bowl and mix thoroughly. Season the batter with the Chicken Seasoning and 2 pinches of salt.

Put the oil in a wide saucepan and heat over a medium heat. Cut the chicken breast into 2 cm pieces and roll in the batter. Let the excess drip off, then place carefully into the hot oil and fry for about 4 minutes until crispy all over.

Take the chicken nuggets out of the hot oil and place them briefly on kitchen roll to remove excess oil, before serving with the sweet ’n’ sour sauce.
