First, make the sugar syrup. Dissolve 50 g white sugar in 50 ml water in a pan over a low heat. Stir until the mixture turns clear. Pour into a clean bottle, measure out the 2 cl you need for this recipe, and store the remainder in the fridge.

Wash the lemon in hot water and carefully peel 4 slices with a peeler.

Divide the blackberries between 2 tumblers along with the blackberry liqueur, 2 cl lemon juice and the sugar syrup. Crush with a pestle and then fill with crushed ice.

Twist the lemon peel to release the oils and add to the glass. Then pour in the gin in a slow, circular motion.
