What is Speculoos Spice?

Whether you call it speculoos or speculaas, this warming spice mix originates in Europe and is the basis for many famous European treats, such as the Belgian speculoos biscuits perfect with a cuppa, or delicious stroop waffles found in Dutch markets.

Using carefully selected spices, we’ve made our very own Speculoos Spice mix, containing cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and star anise, giving you the opportunity to make your very own cookie butter–flavoured treats over the colder months and into the festive period. 

How do I use the Speculoos Spice blend?

Speculoos Spice can be used in many different ways! You can add it to cake batter, mix it into cookie dough, stir through porridge and sprinkle on top of lattes. Don't forget to add a touch of sweetness in the form of sugar, honey or maple for porridge and drinks , as the blend itself is sugar-free. We suggest about 1.5 tsp per 250 g of flour for the perfect flavour hit.
