Healthy pizza crust variant made from whole grain flour

Did you know that white flour causes a rapid rise in blood sugar levels and the subsequent drop in blood sugar levels causes cravings? If you now want to eat healthier, you can prepare pizza from whole grain flour.

Fortunately, there are so many recipes to make pizza from whole grain flour or at least with a reduced amount of wheat flour. And the best thing is yet to come: It tastes absolutely delicious, and you do not have to sacrifice your beloved pizza taste!

The advantages that whole grain flour brings with it are the high proportion of nutrients and fiber. In contrast to pure types of flour, these are represented in many different ways in whole grain flour and can, for example, support digestion.

Here we have a suitable recipe with whole grain content for you:

Ingredients:

+
300 g whole grain wheat flour
+
100 g spelled flour
+
100g wheat flour, type 405
+
½ cube of yeast
+
360 ml lukewarm water
+
1 tsp brown sugar
+
3 tbsp olive oil
+
1 tsp Just Spices Fine Rock Salt

Preparation:

1
Combine the different flours in a bowl. Mix yeast, lukewarm water and brown sugar in a small bowl.
2

3
Add the salt and olive oil and work everything into a smooth, pliable dough. Cover the dough and let it rise for about 2 hours.
4
Now roll out the finished dough into 4 pizza bases and add toppings as desired.

How to make low carb cauliflower pizza at home

Make it pump: high protein pizza crust

For those who, in addition to a healthy diet, have also planned a decent sports program, the High Protein Pizza may be the right thing! But don't worry, it's worth trying out this variant, even for those who don't like sports, because it just tastes really, really good!

Are you now wondering what a high protein pizza looks like? We'll tell you: It is a tuna base pizza, which, as the name suggests, consists mainly of tuna. In contrast to the original pizza, it is a real protein bomb with almost no carbohydrates. In addition, it is also super filling, quick to prepare and requires nothing but tuna, egg and a handful of suitable spices. Due to the typical pizza spices, which you will find in our pizza spice, the tuna loses its taste almost completely and you don't have to be afraid of an unpleasant fish taste!

It is also important to mention that the base has to be baked on its own for a while before it is covered. This step makes it nice and crispy and gives it the stability it needs for the subsequent topping.

Creative topping for every pizza: top it as you like

No matter which pizza base you have chosen, there are almost no limits to your creativity when it comes to the toppings! Everything is possible here, depending on your personal taste preferences. You can either top it with tomato sauce, mozzarella and fresh rocket, or you can choose any vegetables, salami, ham, pineapple, spinach or any other combination.

For a refreshing summer variant, we recommend that you simply use pesto instead of tomato sauce! You can then top it with crunchy green asparagus like with this pizza with green vegetables and enjoy the fresh summer greens immediately!
