5 tricks to make your chips crispy

Have you always wondered how to get chips really nice and crispy? We have the right answers for you and today we will show you five tips for really crispy chips!
Which chips type are you? If you're more into thick Belgian chips, then it's best to grab floury potatoes. For crispy, thin French fries à la chef, on the other hand, waxy potatoes are best. Now that the question of variety has been clarified, there is only one thing left to add here. The thinner you cut your fry sticks, the shorter the baking time and the more crunch you can expect.
Now it's time to wash the potato sticks properly. Anyone who now thinks: "Why, I always wash my potatoes anyway!", it's best to wash them again straight away. And not the whole potato, but the cut sticks. This ensures that the first portion of starch is washed away, and the chips don't droop so quickly.
After the first wash, place the fry sticks in a large bowl and pour hot water over them. As a result, even the last momentum of strength disappears! Very important afterwards: dry off! Grab a fresh kitchen towel and pat the potato sticks as dry as you can. Little secret trick: then dust your chips with some rice flour. This will take the last remaining moisture out of them, and they are ready for the last step!

No matter which spice is your favourite for your delicious chips, it is best to season the fries before cooking. Mix well in a large bowl with a little olive oil and your favourite spices.
